The original Adventurous Alpaca was designed specifically as a wedding gift for a sporting couple. I aimed to make a humorous, fun artwork, highlighting their own personal talents and featuring a Happy Alpaca as their favourite animal. The couple built their home in the heart of Ireland, so I chose to mount the piece on a natural plinth made from local bog wood. The base also represents the choppy waters that the boat is negotiating. This refers to the journey of life and the concept of a boat as a safe vessel to contain and support the love of a married relationship.

The Happy Alpaca is available as a limited edition cast that can be adapted to suit your own interests, location or event. I design each piece on a base that fits with your ideas.
